Darren Hanley lead cycling instructor

Darren Hanley (Lead Coach)

Darren has enjoyed cycling ever since his grandad taught him how to ride in the country lanes of Devon in the 1980s. Since then, he’s never been too far away from a bike, and enjoys jumping on the saddle to get around town or ride off on longer adventures. He’s even taken on the gruelling L’Etape du Tour a couple of times.

When not riding outside, Darren can be found in London’s top health clubs teaching sell-out group cycle classes. Darren is a qualified fitness instructor and coaches Spinning, RPM and Les Mills Sprint, amongst other programmes.

Darren is an advocate for the power of cycling to aid independence, to improve health and lift people’s mood. As someone who, incidentally, overcame the challenge of learning to swim in his 30s, he is particularly passionate in helping adults overcome their barriers to cycling. His relaxed, fun and patient approach has made him a firm favourite with clients across London.

Darren works with a small team of highly trained coaches to deliver our cycling courses.
