Learn to Ride

Do you want to learn to cycle but have been putting it off? Maybe you feel too old or self-conscious? Or you’re scared of falling off?

Whatever your age or experience, our proven training method will get you started on your cycling journey, overcoming any barriers along the way.

In a quiet and safe off-road environment, we master balancing and handling skills on a real bike with no stabilisers in sight.

We practise how to start and stop safely by learning about correct posture, pedal technique and use of brakes. And in no time at all, we will have you cycling independently.

Our course will develop your confidence for everyday life with a bike – whether that’s nipping to the shops or a day-long bike ride – and get you excited for the freedom and joy that cycling offers.

Course details:

Our adult Learn to Ride course is delivered as a single 2.5 hour session. We find that the vast majority of adult beginners will be cycling independently within the first 90 minutes, with the remaining time spent honing control and handling skills. Very occasionally, an additional session may be recommended to increase confidence and experience.

Our training is private/121 and tailored to your needs.

The session takes place outside, in one of London’s centrally located parks. Simply select your preferred park when you book.

  • Battersea Park

  • Clissold Park

  • Hyde Park

  • The Olympic Park

  • Regent’s Park

  • Southwark Park

  • Victoria Park.

A bike and a helmet are provided. We do encourage you to have access to your own so you can practise following on from the training. We’ll happily advise on a bike to buy, or help get an existing bike ship-shape ready.
